Trip Overview

Nepal offers outstanding unique cultural experiences, with some of the most epic and rewarding views on planet earth. It is also home to Chitwan National Park, which delivers a very different side to the trip with the opportunity for closeup wildlife experiences.

This tour is the perfect introduction to Nepal, covering two important aspects – epic cultural experiences and the chance to observe rhino, elephant, rhinoceros, wild boar, monkey, sloth bear and potentially the Royal Bengal Tiger.

You have a brief time in Kathmandu before before descending to a quieter world within Chitwan National Park. This wonderland is home to all manner of wildlife from rhinoceros, wild boar, monkey, sloth bear and the Royal Bengal Tiger. You will enjoy a canoe ride along the Rapti River to observe rare species of crocodiles and bird life, before witnessing a glorious sunset from the Rapti River.

Detailed Itinerary

As you fly into Kathmandu, you'll have beautiful views over the valley, the Himalayas, and of the terraced fields below. After going through customs, our guide will be waiting to lead you through Kathmandu’s streets and get you settled into your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of the Unesco world heritage site of Patan, known as the old city of artists and artisans. Hotel - Meals: None

This morning, take a drive to Chitwan, through rural nepal, with terraced rice field, mountain rivers & lush forests. (5hrs drive). Explore the jungle with an experienced naturalist by foot or by jeep. You can ask questions and learn as much as you can—your naturalist will be extremely knowledgeable about the animals and the history of Chitwan National Park. You'll have the chance to see wildlife such as a variety of deer (spotted, hog, barking, and sambar), different bird species, monkeys, and the endangered one-horned rhinoceros. With a bit of luck, there's always the chance of glimpsing the leopard, sloth bear, and Royal Bengal Tiger.
