Trip Overview

Kathmandu valley is a Mecca for mountain bicyclists, as it draws thousands of enthusiasts from all corners of the world. This mtb tour takes you through a delightful world of wooded slopes, small villages, hidden temples and the high mountain peaks of the Himalayas.

This program introduces you to the eastern outskirts of Kathmandu valley, with its picturesque landscapes and terraced rice fields. The highlight of the program is a visit to Namobuddha, one of the most important monasteries in Nepal, perched atop a hill overlooking the valley.

The ride is a moderate one, with lots of up and downhill and requires a good level of fitness. This is a fascinating way to travel the byways of the valley, visiting little-known villages, sacred groves and out of the way temples and monuments.
