The North East area of Kathmandu Valley is famous for its view of the Himalayan ranges, especially from Nagarkot. Also, very popular with the locals, this short trek introduces you to the villages and scenic beauty of Kathmandu Valley. Along your trek, you will come upon famous temples (Budanilkatha) and will have the opportunity to see the lives of the traditional Nepali rural community.

Trek Itinerary

Day 01: KTM/NAGARKOTE by bus

After breakfast, leave hotel for your trek starting point. On arrival at Nagarkote, your trek sirdar will arrange all necessary equipments and you start your trek. Overnight Camp THANTI.

Day 02: THANTI/CHISOPANI RIDGE

Good views can be seen of the central Himalayan ranges from your camp site. Enroute the trek, you would be passing along countryside villages. Overnight camp CHISOPANI

Day 03: CHISOPANI/SHIVAPURI RIDGE

Views of the mountains will still be possible and the trek involves ups and downs this day. Kathmandu valley will be in the southern direction and you may enjoy views of both the mountain and valley.

Day 04: SHIVAPURI/BUDHANILKANTHA

This day you trek downhill till you arrive your trek finish point. Budhanilkantha. In Budhanilkantha you may visit the Hindu Temple of the sleeping VISHNU and it is beleived by the hindus that the king of Nepal is an incarnation of Vishnu. After your tour you will be brought back to your hotel by bus. Overnight HOTEL
